When is it safe to post again after Instagram has been down?
How to confirm if Instagram is down (is it you or Instagram?) and how to know when it is safe to post again.
Instagram (and all of Meta -aka Facebook and Threads) is down as of about 12:30 pm EST today.
If the app isn't working for you, or acting weird, don't ever post!
The first thing you should do is go to downdetector.com and check Instagram for a spike in outage reports:
Here is what it looks like if there is a new outage:
See that big red line on right?
That means Instagram is down for a LOT of people. So don’t post!!!
Keep checking downdetector.com and when things go back to "normal," then you can post again!
