Use Fable 5 Before July 12 Like a Paid Consultant

Do not waste the expensive model on tiny tasks. Have it build the assets your cheaper AI can run later.

Fable 5 has a clock on it.

The date moved. It is now July 12, not July 7. If you are on a paid Claude plan, this is the window where Fable 5 is still included for part of your normal weekly use. After that, it moves back toward usage credits.

So the question is not, "What should I ask Fable today?"

That is too small.

The better question is, "What can I make once with my best model that keeps helping me after the meter turns on?"

That is the whole game.

Do not use Fable 5 to write a random caption. Do not use it to rewrite one email. Do not use it to make 20 content ideas you will forget tomorrow.

Use it like a very smart consultant you only get for a few days.

Have it build the operating docs, plans, prompts, and quality checks that your cheaper model can follow later. That way, you are not just getting better output today. You are banking better thinking for the next few months.

This is for you if:

  • You use Claude, ChatGPT, or another AI tool for real work.

  • You have saved prompts, but they are messy.

  • You have projects stuck in long chats.

  • You have a business plan in your head, but not in a system.

  • You want cheaper AI to do more of the day-to-day work without making a mess.

I saw a smart guide about using Fable 5 before the deadline. I agree with the main point: do not burn your best model on small stuff. But I would take it further.

I would not just upgrade a few skills.

I would build a small AI command center.

Behind the paywall, I am giving you the five Fable runs I would do before July 12:

  • The AI Operating Manual.

  • The Stuck Project Rescue.

  • The Model Routing Map.

  • The 90-Day Work Board.

  • The Quality Scorecard.

You also get the exact prompts, the pass/fail checklists, and a simple run sheet for the next few days.

Paid readers also get the full archive of AI business workflows, Substack playbooks, prompt systems, and behind-the-scenes builds from Liz on the Web.

The rest is for paid readers: the prompts, the checklists, and the July 12 sprint plan.

The full walkthrough is below the paywall.
