A five-minute task may feel too small to fix.
Do it ten times a week and it becomes almost an hour. That is a safer place to test automation than a messy process full of judgment.
The wrong automation can send a bad email, lose a lead, or create more cleanup than it saves. Extra tools also add cost and weak points.
This is Day 26 of the 30-Day One-Person Business Challenge. Today you will score your repeated tasks, choose one clear process, pick the smallest tool, and add an alert, log, owner, and manual backup.

The proof behind this
I made $100K in my first 27 days online with zero experience. I built a no-code SaaS that does $60K. My first digital product made $30K. I grew to 241K followers on Instagram and more than 100K readers on Substack. I also replaced a $10K-a-month team with AI.
That does not mean every job should go to a tool. Good automation starts after the path is clear. It handles repeat work while a person keeps judgment, care, and the final call.
The automation mistake that makes the mess move faster
A tool cannot fix a process you cannot explain.
Run the task by hand first. Write the trigger, inputs, steps, and finish line. Keep work that needs taste, empathy, a buyer talk, or a choice in human hands.
AI can help map the steps and list failure cases. It cannot decide which buyer deserves care, whether a promise is honest, or if an odd case should be forced through the same path.
What this lesson hands you today
A task audit based on time, repeat rate, risk, and judgment.
A one-page automation map with trigger, steps, and finish line.
A small tool picker for native rules, templates, and connector apps.
A failure test with an alert, log, owner, and manual backup.
Three filled examples, an AI mapping prompt, and a human check.
A seven-day review, fallbacks, and the Day 26 finish line.
The 30-Day One-Person Business Challenge
This is Day 26 of the 30-Day One-Person Business Challenge. The goal is simple: build one small business around a real problem, make the first offer, set up the path people use to buy, and start bringing the right people to it.
The 30 days follow four clear phases:
Days 1 to 7: Find the market and shape the offer. Pick a niche, choose your first channels, find one painful problem, study the market, choose the offer format, outline the smallest useful version, and plan the right lead magnet.
Days 8 to 14: Build the foundation. Choose a small tool stack, make the lead magnet, connect delivery, write the sales page, start the offer, write the email path, and wire the remaining handoffs.
Days 15 to 23: Finish it, test it, and get leads. Complete version one, test the buyer path, build a content system, and learn how to use short posts, communities, Pinterest, YouTube, and Substack to bring in the right people.
Days 24 to 30: Study what works, simplify it, and grow. Audit the full path, plan the right content, use AI and automation with judgment, build repeatable systems, add the next offer only when it fits, and choose the next test.
Every lesson has the same shape: the plain rule, the exact steps, a copy-and-paste prompt, a worksheet, a checklist, and three example businesses that run through the whole series. Read one a day and you are working the plan, not reading about it.

Direct access to me
Paid subscribers can DM me directly. Not a support inbox. Me. Stuck between two offers? Send me both. Not sure your one-page offer makes sense? Send it. I answer, and the best questions turn into future lessons.
I also run live mentorship calls where you can ask me anything with your real business on the table. Founding members get all of that plus my Instagram EDGE course, the one that normally sells for $397.
Send me the task, trigger, steps, and finish line. I will tell you if it is clear enough to automate yet.
Who this is for
You have no idea what to sell. Automate a simple admin task only. Keep niche and offer choices in human hands.
You have too many ideas. Pick one repeated task with clear time saved and leave the rest alone.
You have a normal skill. Save time on forms, reminders, files, or follow-up around the service.
You already have an audience but no offer. Automate lead tagging or delivery after the offer path works by hand.
You are burned out on a business that got too big. Replace one dull repeat task and remove tools that do not earn their place.
The receipts are above, the price is $13 a month, and you can cancel anytime. Today's steps start the minute you open the paid section. I am building the next business in public, numbers included. Plan about an hour a day. DM me and come to the live calls when you want a person to check the system.
Why now
Three honest reasons not to wait:
Every repeat of the same safe task costs more time, but a rushed build can spread the same mistake faster. Map it today and test it small.
The 30-day challenge is landing now, in order. Join now and you get every day as it drops, plus every lesson already out, plus DM access while I am deep in the same work on my own new business.
The price. $13 a month gets you all of it. I said it when I launched the series and I will say it again: join before the price goes up. It will.
