One Person Empire: Part 19 Day 1: Start a One-Person Business This Week With One Clear Offer

No logo. No website. One buyer, one offer, one week.

Sep 22, 2026
∙ Paid

Every week someone sends me the same message. They want to start a business. They have the name. They have a logo. They have a brand kit, a domain, and three tools they are already paying for.

They do not have one customer. They do not even know who the customer is.

I did it the other way around. My first $100K online came in 27 days, with zero experience, and the business behind it fit on one page. One buyer. One problem. One offer. One place to get found. Everything else came later, and customers paid for it.

I am doing it again right now. New business, from $0, in public. Same one-page rule. This lesson is that rule turned into a seven-day plan you can start today.

The wrong order costs you a month of setup with nothing to sell, then a launch to silence, then the quiet decision that "this business thing is not for me." I have watched that story more times than I can count. The business was never the problem. The order was.

This lesson fixes the order. It opens a 31-part run inside One Person Empire for one reader: the person who wants a real one-person business this week, not someday. Seven days to one clear offer with a working next step. Then a 60-day road to the first sale.

The proof behind this

I made $100K in my first 27 days online with zero experience. I built a no-code SaaS that does $60K. My first digital product made $30K. I have 241K followers on Instagram and 100K+ readers on Substack.

I am not teaching this from a book. I am running this exact seven-day plan on a brand new business right now, in public, and you get the moves as they happen. The wins and the misses.

The mistake I see every single week

Names, colors, tools, and a giant idea. None of that tells you who will pay.

They ask AI to:

  • pick the whole business for them

  • write a 30-page plan they will never open again

  • name the tool stack before there is a single buyer

  • make a tiny first offer sound like a company

But AI cannot:

  • know your buyer without real buyer words

  • invent proof you do not have yet

  • turn a fake company into a real sale

The rule is simple. Pick the smallest offer that can create a real result for one clear buyer. Then build only what that offer needs. That rule is the whole week.

What this lesson hands you today

  • The five-path picker: a two-minute test that tells you if your first offer should be a service, a digital product, paid content, a local offer, or a community.

  • The 7-day build plan, one job per day, with what to make and what to skip.

  • The one-page offer note. The only business plan you need this week.

  • The tool routing for each path, plus the six tools you should not touch yet.

  • The 60-day road to the first sale, with the five milestones I check.

  • The copy-and-paste prompt that turns messy notes into one clear offer, plus the worksheet, the red flags, and the checklist.

The Start This Week series: 31 lessons, one goal

This is Part 19 of One Person Empire, and it opens a 31-part run built for one job: getting you from "I want a business" to a real first sale.

Parts 19 through 49 are the whole path, in order:

  • Pick a direction (Parts 19 to 21, 26 to 28): one clear offer, the total beginner map, the too-many-ideas filter, the 48-hour niche pick, boring problems people already pay to fix, and choosing the customer before the product.

  • Research before you build (Parts 29 to 31): five research messages, mining comments and reviews for buyer words, and turning research into a promise people understand.

  • Build the offer (Parts 22, 25, 32, 33, 38): turn a normal skill into a paid service, pick the right offer type, the four-piece offer, the one-page offer, and selling a digital product without a giant funnel.

  • Set up the basics (Parts 34 to 37, 40, 41): the beginner tool stack, the minimum landing page, the payment path, booking and onboarding, the tiny lead tracker, and the legal and tax basics without the homework.

  • Get seen (Parts 23, 39, 45, 46): build an audience while the offer is messy, start the email list early, post helpful content before you are done, and the first 20 posts that sell.

  • Use AI the right way (Parts 42 to 44): AI as your daily business brain, brand visuals with OpenAI, Gemini, and Canva, and automating only after the path works.

  • Sell it (Parts 47 to 49): the 30-day promotion loop without an audience, the first 10 buyer conversations, and the 60-day launch plan to the first sale.

  • Start over smaller (Part 24): the reset for anyone burned out by a business that got too big.

Every lesson has the same shape: the plain rule, the exact steps, a copy-and-paste prompt, a worksheet, a checklist, and four example businesses that run through the whole series. One lesson a day and you are working the plan, not reading about it.

What paid subscribers get

  • Every One Person Empire lesson: all 31 parts of the Start This Week run as they land, plus everything already published, including the 0 to $100K in 27 days breakdown.

  • AI for Entrepreneurs, my 103-lesson AI course for business owners, publishing right now.

  • Bitchwork, 46 parts and counting of exactly what my AI did for me and for other people, with the prompts.

  • The prompt database, every prompt pack, and every template and checklist in the archive.

  • Workshops and the full archive, back to the first post.

  • Direct one-on-one DM access to me for help, questions, and advice.

  • Live mentorship and ask-me-anything calls.

Direct access to me

This is the part people miss, and it is the part I care about most.

Paid subscribers can DM me directly. Not a support inbox. Me. Stuck between two offers? Send me both. Not sure your one-page offer makes sense? Send it. I answer, and the best questions turn into future lessons.

I also run live mentorship calls where you can ask me anything with your real business on the table. Founding members get all of that plus my Instagram EDGE course, the one that normally sells for $397.

Finish this lesson, then send me your one-page offer note. That is the fastest way I know to find the weak spot before you build on it.

Who this is for

Five kinds of people come to this series, and every lesson speaks to all five:

  • You have no idea what to sell. This week you pick the smallest useful offer from a chore or a problem you already solved. Part 20 gives you the full no-idea map right after this.

  • You have too many ideas. This week you pick one to test, not one to marry. Part 21 gives you the scorecard.

  • You have a normal skill. This week you package it as a result and sell it as a service before you build any product. Part 22 goes deep on that.

  • You already have an audience but no offer. This week you start teaching the problem and let the replies shape the offer. Part 23 is your next stop.

  • You are burned out on a business that got too big. This week you cut it down to one offer you can deliver well. Part 24 is the reset.

If you need to see the numbers before you spend a dollar: the receipts are above, the price is $13 a month, and you can cancel anytime. If you want to move fast: the seven-day plan starts the minute you open the paid section. If a guru burned you before: I am building the next business in public, numbers included, so you can watch it work or watch it fail. If you are short on time: the plan is about an hour a day. If you want a person and not a PDF: DM me, and come to the live calls.

Why now

Three honest reasons not to wait:

  1. The plan is seven days long. Start today and you have a real offer with a working next step by this time next week. Wait, and next week you still have a name and a logo.

  2. The Start This Week run is landing now, in order. Join now and you get every part as it drops, plus every lesson already out, plus DM access while I am deep in the same work on my own new business.

  3. The price. $13 a month gets you all of it. I said it when I launched the series and I will say it again: join before the price goes up. It will.

Coming next in One Person Empire

Next is Part 20, the total beginner business map for when you have no idea what to sell. Then Part 21, the too-many-ideas filter, and Part 22, turning a normal skill into your first paid service. The full 31-part roadmap is above.

Everything below is the plan. Day by day, path by path, with the prompt, the worksheet, and the 60-day road to the first sale.
