The name was the bare brand name. The about box was empty. My username was 05fqw8061v0mvdvv153znikxz5e3hx. A random string of letters and numbers. That was going to be my public web address.
No photo. No boards. Nothing that told Pinterest who this account helps.
Pinterest is a search engine. It has to figure out what you are about before it can show you to anyone. A fresh account tells it nothing, and the signup flow does not fix that for you.
