A man gave ChatGPT the hard people on his gift list. It found ideas, compared products, checked prices and shipping, then sent him to the best deal.
Four hard people. No gift ideas. Christmas almost here.
Adam Marshall had the kind of gift list that makes you want to give everyone cash and call it a day.
His older brother wanted a smart speaker. His sister-in-law loved games. His 17-year-old niece had very clear likes. His 88-year-old grandmother already had most of what she needed.
Adam gave each problem to ChatGPT.
It came up with gift ideas for his niece and grandmother. It made a table of smart speakers for his brother. Then it searched popular and lesser-known stores for a Nintendo Switch 2 game for his sister-in-law.

That is a very good use of AI.

What the old way costs you
Last-minute gift shopping usually starts with a pile of tabs.
You search for ideas. You read reviews. You open Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and any other store you can think of. You find a low price, then learn the item will arrive late. Or the shipping fee wipes out the deal.
Then you do it all again for the next person.
The worst part is that you are making two choices at once.
First, you have to pick the right gift. Then you have to find the right place to buy it.
AI can help with both.

AI shopping data can be old or wrong.
A price may have changed. A coupon may be dead. An item may be out of stock. The delivery date may be different for your address.
ChatGPT also cannot promise that it checked every store on the internet. Adam asked it to check popular stores and any smaller stores it could find. That is a smart way to ask, but it is not a full scan of every shop that exists.
Always open the store page. Check the item, price, shipping fee, seller and delivery date before you pay.
