This is just a quick and dirty guide to every single Instagram setting you need if you want to optimize for growth. (There is a separate article that discusses initial set-up of your page.) Unless you are a brick & mortar local business (like a pizza joint), you should have a CREATOR account. Brick & mortar local businesses should usually have a BUSINESS account.
Here are all the settings that you can access by clicking “Settings and activity” from your profile (“Settings and activity” is the 3 line “hamburger” menu at the top right of your Instagram profile in the phone app):

Semi-secret settings (these are only accessible from when you are posting a reel, but some of these settings govern all content, such as translations and closed captions). Translations and closed captions are some of the MOST important settings for reach!
