B*tchwork my AI Did for Me - Part 54: My AI turned one idea into a photo guide I can still edit

∙ Paid

Making a photo guide used to mean an afternoon I never had.

Pick a topic. Find photos. Write the copy. Drop it into a layout. Fix the layout. Export it flat. Realize you typo'd something on page 3. Start over.

I had the idea. I had nothing else.

So I wrote a short brief and handed it to my AI.

What came back was a full photo-led guide. Photos up front, driving the page. Copy underneath, still in plain text, still editable. Layout ready to review before anything goes anywhere.

I did not post it live for this article. The workflow is a creation and review tool, not a one-click publish button. What I have is the built guide, sitting ready, with words I can still change and photos I did not have to hunt down myself.

That is the part that mattered.

The brief was a few lines. The guide that came back had structure I would have spent an afternoon fighting.

What this article gives you

I will show you the brief I used, how the photo guide got built, what stays editable after the AI is done, and how to check the result before you do anything with it.

You will also get the exact prompt shape so you can drop in your own topic and get a guide that does not need to be rebuilt from scratch.

Who this is for

This is for you if:

  • You want photo-led content but hate the layout part.

  • You keep putting off a guide because you do not know where to start.

  • You want copy you can still tweak after the AI is done.

  • You want to see the result before anything goes live.

  • You are not technical. You just want a brief in and a guide out.

Why you can trust this story

This came out of the ATHENA system, released September 24, 2026.

The photo guide composer (compose.mjs) reads a brief and builds a photo-led guide. The README documents how it works. The release report from the same date is the paper trail.

The guide I built from this workflow exists as a reviewable file. The text is editable. The photos lead the layout. Nothing was posted live for this article because the workflow is a creation and review tool and I am not claiming a public result I do not have.

What I have is the brief, the output, and the receipts.

Behind this paywall

Paid readers get:

  • The exact brief format I used to start the guide.

  • The five-step workflow from brief to reviewable guide.

  • What the AI actually builds and what the file looks like after.

  • The parts that still need your eyes before anything goes anywhere.

  • What to check manually before you use the output.

  • A copy-this brief template you can use on your own topic.

What paid subscribers get every week

Paid subscribers do not only get this one guide build. You also get:

  • Real work I handed to my AI inside my actual business.

  • The prompts I used, written so you can copy them.

  • The receipts that prove what worked.

  • The problems that slowed the job down.

  • The safety checks that kept AI from making a risky call on its own.

  • Simple playbooks you can use in your own business.
