AI for Entrepreneurs: Part 48 Take A Skill That Already Works And Make It Fit Your Exact Job In Ten Minutes

There is no magic role pack. Every job runs on the same five shapes, and you only swap five things to make a general skill yours.

You went looking for the skill pack for your job. Teacher. Agent. Contractor. Student. You found a list, opened it, and it was fine but it was not about your work at all. So you closed it and went back to typing everything by hand.

Waiting for someone to build the pack for your title is a wait with no end. Nobody is coming. Meanwhile the same five parts of your week keep eating the same hours.

By the end of this you will stop waiting. You will take a skill that already works, change five specific things, and have a version built around your vocabulary, your inputs, and your standard for good.

Here is what you will be able to do:

  • Save any skill into Claude in four steps.

  • Take a general skill and adapt it to your exact role.

  • Swap the five parts of a skill that are actually role-specific.

  • Build your first three job skills without waiting for someone to hand you a pack.

This one assumes you have seen a skill before. If you have not, Part 43 builds your first one in ten minutes.

The proof behind this

Liz Elliott is not an engineer and never studied computer science. She runs 33 active social brands, which means the same five shapes of work repeating across dozens of very different jobs.

None of that came from a pack with the right title on it. It came from taking something that already worked and swapping the parts that were actually hers. She also built four software products with AI help: PRISM, AutoViral, UPRISE Social Studio, and Profounder.

What this lesson is

Lesson 8.7 of the free AI for Entrepreneurs course, in Module 8: Building Skills.

You will see a lot of lists called "5 Claude skills every teacher needs" or "5 skills every real estate agent needs." Open a few and you notice something. They are usually the same five skills with one word changed.

That is not a scam. It is a clue about how skills actually work.

Almost every job has the same five repeating shapes underneath it:

  1. Something in, something out. A client email becomes a reply. A listing becomes a description. A lecture becomes notes.

  2. A recurring report. Weekly status. Monthly numbers. A summary for someone above you.

  3. Prep before a conversation. A meeting. A showing. An interview. A parent call.

  4. A record that builds up. Wins. Commitments. Client history. Study progress.

  5. A judgment pass. Reviewing something before it goes out.

Those five shapes do not change between jobs. What changes is the vocabulary, the inputs, and the standard for good.

So the move is not hunting for a pack that matches your title. It is taking a skill that already works and swapping the parts that are actually yours. Lesson 8.6 gave you forty working skills. This lesson turns any of them into your version.
