You connected your email. You clicked the big button, the tool said connected, and you moved on. You never saw the list of things you just allowed.

Two things sit in plain sight and almost nobody touches them. One protects you. One is free. The first is connector permissions. Think about giving a neighbour your house key while you are away. You are happy for them to water the plants. You are not expecting them to rearrange the furniture. The fix is not refusing to give out the key. The fix is saying which rooms. Every action gets one of three settings, and setting them takes about a minute per tool. Reads can run free. Anything that cannot be undone stays under your hand. The second thing is the free material, a whole set of courses, examples, and reference pages that cost nothing, which people never open. And the mistake with free material is collecting it.
