The resource linked under it is much bigger. I found 935 public prompt and resource files in the linked GitHub repository when I checked it on July 14, 2026.

I rebuilt the idea from scratch for Liz on the Web readers. Below are 120 short prompt cues for clearer answers, sharper research, faster plans, better writing, and work you can use.

These are user-made prompt cues. They are not built-in ChatGPT commands or hidden OpenAI features. The code is a label that helps you remember an instruction.

OpenAI’s own prompt guide says clear, specific instructions with enough context tend to work best. That means a code by itself may not do much in a fresh chat. The first time you use one, paste the code and its one-line meaning before your request.

HOW TO USE THEM

Try this shape:

GOALLOCK: Restate my goal, key facts, and limits before answering. Then help me plan a 30-day launch for my new offer. I have two hours a day and a $500 budget.

Save the codes you use most in a note, project, or custom instruction. Add your real goal, audience, facts, limits, and wanted format after the code.

CLEAR ANSWERS

1. GOALLOCK: Restates your goal, key facts, and limits before answering.

2. PLAINWORDS: Rewrites the answer with short words and simple sentences.

3. ANSWERFIRST: Puts the direct answer before the reasons and steps.

4. SCOPECHECK: Flags any part of the request that is unclear or too broad.

5. ASSUMPTIONS: Lists each assumption so you can correct it.

6. EXAMPLEPAIR: Gives one good example and one bad example.

7. STEPSTACK: Turns the answer into ordered steps with one action per step.

8. SHORTCUTVIEW: Gives the fastest workable path before a more complete path.

9. TERMSCAN: Finds jargon and explains each term in plain words.

10. FORMATLOCK: Returns the answer in the exact format you name.

RESEARCH AND FACT CHECKS

11. SOURCEFIRST: Separates checked facts, likely claims, and open questions.

12. Add your real context after it. Then keep talking to ChatGPT until the answer fits the job.

My five beginner picks are GOALLOCK, ANSWERFIRST, UPDATECHECK, NEXTMOVE, and DONECHECK.

Credit where it is due: Sabrina Ramonov’s Reel sent me looking for the larger resource. One is built for the hardest work. One is the smart middle choice. One is made for speed and low cost.

The first guides about GPT-5.6 came out during a small preview in June. That is when this deep guide from Tosea was written. But the access news changed on July 9, 2026. OpenAI says GPT-5.6 is now rolling out across ChatGPT, Codex, and the API.

So here is the new version of the story, in plain English.

The fast answer

<picture></picture>

If you only remember one thing, remember this:

Use Sol for hard work. Pick it for deep research, big coding jobs, hard plans, and work where the answer needs more thought.

Use Terra for most daily work. It is the best place to start when you want strong work without paying Sol prices.

Use Luna for fast, simple work. Pick it for sorting, short drafts, quick checks, and jobs you need to run many times.

Most people do not need Sol for every chat. Start with Terra. Move up to Sol when the task is hard. Move down to Luna when speed and cost come first.

Sol is the heavy thinker

Sol is the top GPT-5.6 model. OpenAI calls it the flagship model.

This is the one to use when a task has many steps and a bad answer would waste time. Think about a large code fix, a deep research report, a full business plan, or a messy file set that needs to be read and checked.

Sol also has two new work modes. Max gives the model more time to think and test its answer. Ultra uses several agents at once, then pulls their work together. In Codex, OpenAI says Ultra is available to Plus plans and above. In ChatGPT Work, it is for Pro and Enterprise users.

Ultra can use more tokens, so it is not the right button for every tiny job. Save it for work that is worth the extra effort.

Terra is the smart default

Terra is the model I would tell most people to try first.

OpenAI says Terra has skill close to GPT-5.5, but its API price is half as much. That makes it a good fit for daily writing, planning, code help, research, and business tasks.

Terra is also the model that Free and Go users get in ChatGPT Work and Codex. Paid users can pick Sol, Terra, or Luna.

If you run a small business, Terra can handle a lot of the work you do each day. It can help turn notes into a plan, clean up copy, study a file, make a task list, or draft a first version. You can send the hardest parts to Sol after Terra gets the job started.

Luna is built for speed

<picture></picture>

Luna is the fastest and lowest-cost model in the group.

It is a good fit for short jobs that do not need deep thought. You can use it to tag leads, sort feedback, clean up a list, pull fields from text, or make many short drafts.

Luna is not the model I would pick for a hard choice or a long plan. But it can be a great worker inside an automation because small jobs can add up fast.

This is the part many people miss. The best model is not always the biggest one. The best model is the least costly model that can do the job well.

What the API costs

OpenAI lists these prices for one million tokens:

Sol: $5 for input and $30 for output

Terra: $2.50 for input and $15 for output

Luna: $1 for input and $6 for output

Input is what you send to the model. Output is what the model sends back.

For many small teams, Terra will be the main model. Luna can handle simple steps. Sol can step in when the work gets hard. This kind of model routing can cut costs without making every result worse.

OpenAI also says all three API models have a 1,050,000-token context window and can return up to 128,000 tokens. That is a lot of room for files and long jobs. Some early articles said the context window was 1.5 million tokens, but the current official model pages say 1.05 million.

A simple way to pick your model

Use this three-step check before you start:

How bad would a wrong answer be? Use Sol when the risk is high.

How hard is the work? Use Terra for most daily work and Luna for simple steps.

How many times will this run? Cost gets more important when a task runs all day.

You can also build a ladder. Start a job with Luna. Send the hard parts to Terra. Send only the hardest cases to Sol. That is often better than using the biggest model for every step.

The benchmark numbers need context

OpenAI reports that Sol scored 88.8% on Terminal-Bench 2.1, a test for command-line work. Sol with Ultra reached 91.9%. Terra scored 87.4%, and Luna scored 84.7%.

Those are OpenAI's own reported numbers. They are useful, but they do not prove which model will work best for your real job. Ultra also uses several agents, so its score is not a clean one-model test.

The best test is still your work. Give each model the same real task. Check the answer, time, and cost. Then pick the smallest model that passes.

What to do now

The rollout may take up to 24 hours, so you may not see all three models at once.

When they show up, do not test them with a random question. Pick one real job you already do. Run it through Luna, Terra, and Sol. Keep the prompt and files the same. Then compare the work.

My bet is that Terra will be enough for most daily jobs. Sol will earn its place on the hard ones. Luna will do more of the quiet work behind the scenes.

The names are new, but the rule is simple: match the model to the job.

Sources

OpenAI's July 9 GPT-5.6 launch

OpenAI's GPT-5.6 model guide

The Tosea guide that sparked this article

If you test the new models, leave a comment and tell me which one won your real task.

Hackers Didn't Hack Instagram. No password cracking. No phishing emails.

They opened a support chat, used a VPN to match the account owner’s location, and asked the AI to change the email address on the account. The AI complied. From there, the hackers reset two-factor authentication and had full control.

Who Got Hit

The compromised accounts weren’t small:

Sephora (major global brand)

The Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force (US military)

Jane Manchun Wong (well-known security researcher)

Albert Renshaw (developer who owned the handle @albert)

The archived Barack Obama White House account

Over 100 high-value accounts were hijacked in total before the vulnerability was exposed publicly.

How It Happened

In March 2026, Meta rolled out AI-powered support across all Facebook and Instagram accounts. The AI chatbot was given elevated permissions — including the ability to change account recovery email addresses and reset security settings.

Hackers discovered that the AI had no robust identity verification. If you could match the account owner’s general geographic region with a VPN, the AI would process your request to change the email address. Once the email was changed, the hacker could reset the password and bypass two-factor authentication.

The vulnerability was live from roughly March through early June 2026 — about three months — before 404 Media’s reporting forced Meta’s hand.

Meta VP of communications Andy Stone confirmed the fix was deployed over the weekend of May 31–June 1, 2026.

Why This Matters Beyond Instagram

This is a warning about what happens when companies give AI systems elevated permissions without adequate safeguards.

Meta replaced human support agents with an AI chatbot to save money. That chatbot was given the power to change account credentials — the single most sensitive operation in account security — without proper identity verification.

The AI was socially engineered. Just like a human support agent might be tricked, the AI was tricked. Except an AI doesn’t get suspicious. It doesn’t ask follow-up questions out of instinct. It follows its instructions, and its instructions said: process the request.

The Bug Is Patched. But You Should Still Act Now.

Meta says the vulnerability is fixed. But this flaw existed for three months before anyone caught it publicly. Here’s exactly what to do right now to protect your Instagram account:

1. Change Your Password Today

Make it unique — not reused from any other service. Use a password manager. Minimum 16 characters, random.

2. Switch to Authenticator App 2FA (Not SMS)

SMS-based two-factor authentication is vulnerable to SIM swapping. Switch to an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password’s built-in authenticator.

How: Instagram → Settings → Accounts Center → Password and security → Two-factor authentication → Select your account → Choose “Authentication app.”

3. They can change our passwords, modify our account settings, and make decisions about our identity — often with less scrutiny than a human agent would apply.

This Meta incident is the first major, publicly documented case of AI support being socially engineered at scale. It won’t be the last.

The best defense is not to trust any single platform with your security. Use strong unique passwords. Use authenticator-based 2FA. Monitor your accounts. They copy a random trend. They change their niche every three days. Then they blame the algorithm when nothing takes off.

That is backwards. If you want better content, start with the data you already have. Your last 30 to 60 days of posts can show you what your audience is saving, skipping, sharing, and ignoring.

The fastest way to see it is to let an AI agent audit your account in the browser.

This works best with Claude, Claude Code, or Codex in agent mode. The key is not the chat box. The key is browser access. A normal chat cannot see your Instagram page. An agent with browser access can.

Start With The Fast Version

If you only want the short prompt, use this:

Audit my Instagram content. What's working, what's not, and what should I post more or less of to go viral?

That will get you a useful answer. But if you want the real audit, use the full workflow below.

Step 1: Add The Browser Extension

Your AI tool needs permission to use your browser.

If you are using Claude, add the Claude Chrome extension. If you are using Claude Code or Codex desktop, use the browser or agent setup that lets the AI drive Chrome.

Without browser access, the AI cannot open Instagram, click through posts, read captions, check hooks, or compare what worked.

Step 2: Log Into Instagram In Chrome First

Before you start, open Chrome and log into Instagram.

Then keep that browser session open. When your AI tool asks for permission to use the browser on Instagram, click allow.

This saves time because the AI can go straight into your account instead of getting stuck at a login page.

Step 3: Use Agent Mode, Not Regular Chat

This is the part people skip.

Use the mode that can use tools and drive the browser.

In Claude Cowork, use Cowork mode. In Claude Code, you are already in agent mode. In Codex desktop, use agent mode, not the standard chat.

A regular chat window can help you write ideas. It cannot inspect your live Instagram account.

Step 4: Create A New Task And Paste This Prompt

Use this as your first full audit prompt:

You are an expert social media strategist and content analyst with deep knowledge of Instagram's algorithm, content psychology, hook writing, engagement mechanics, and monetization strategy in 2026.

You understand what makes content stop the scroll, drive saves and shares, and convert followers into buyers.

I want you to conduct a full professional Instagram content audit of my account.

Go to my Instagram profile and analyze my last 60 days of posts. If 60 days is too much, analyze the last 30 days. Analyze every single post in that window. Do not skip any post.

Create a clean, easy-to-read document with the following sections:

1. Account Snapshot
2. Full Post Inventory
3. Content Mix And Format Breakdown
4. Posting Consistency And Timing
5. Hook Analysis
6. Top Performers
7. Underperformers
8. Repetition Audit
9. CTA And Monetization Audit
10. Content Gaps
11. Audience And Engagement Quality
12. Overall Strategy Analysis
13. Prioritized Action Plan

Use headings, tables where helpful, and clear sections.

At the end, tell me:

- What I should post more of
- What I should stop posting
- Which hooks are working
- Which formats are working
- Which CTAs are weak
- Which content gaps I should fill next
- The next 10 posts I should make

Download the finished audit as a doc.

The goal is not to get vague content advice. The goal is to force the AI to inspect your real posts and give you a plan based on your own account.

Step 5: Download The Audit Doc

When the audit is done, download it.

Do not leave it buried in a chat thread. You want a doc you can come back to when you plan content.

The audit should tell you which posts carried the account, which posts dragged it down, and which topics you repeat too much.

It should also show you the boring stuff most people avoid, like weak CTAs, messy posting times, dead formats, and hooks that do not give people a reason to care.

Step 6: Find What Is Going Viral In Your Niche

Your own account tells you what your audience already responds to.

Your niche tells you what is working right now.

After the first audit is done, paste this second prompt in the same task:

Now I want you to find and analyze viral content in my niche from the last 60 days.

Go to Instagram and search hashtags, sounds, and competitor accounts in [YOUR NICHE].

Pull at least 30 posts that clearly overperformed. Look for high saves, shares, and comments relative to the creator's follower count.

For each viral post, capture:

- The hook
- The first 3 seconds for Reels
- The first line for carousels
- The format, such as Reel, carousel, or single image
- The structure
- The CTA
- The caption length
- What made it stop the scroll

Create a second doc with these sections:

1. Viral Pattern Summary
2. Hook Bank
3. Format Winners
4. Content Gaps I Should Fill
5. 10 Specific Post Ideas

Cross-reference these findings against my own audit.

Tell me exactly which of my underperforming post types to stop, and which viral patterns are the fastest fit for my brand.

Replace `[YOUR NICHE]` with your actual niche.

For example: Instagram growth for small business owners, AI tools for creators, digital products for beginners, local service business marketing, fitness for busy moms, or whatever your lane is.

Step 7: Turn Both Docs Into A Posting Plan

Now you have two things:

An honest audit of your own account

A viral playbook for your niche

Do not turn this into a 40-page plan you never use.

Turn it into your next 10 posts.

Pick the hooks that fit your voice. Pick the formats your account can actually make. Cut the post types that keep flopping. Then post on purpose for one week and watch what changes.

The point is not to copy viral posts word for word.

The point is to borrow the pattern:

What made people stop?

What made people save?

What made people comment?

What made the post easy to share?

What made the offer or CTA clear?

That is how you stop guessing.

The Simple Rule

If your account is not growing, do not start with more ideas.

Start with the posts you already made.

Let AI find the patterns. Then use those patterns to make better posts.

That is how you go from random content to a real strategy.

Source post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DY_KeAjiM-8/

@liz.on.the.web

I'm Sharing 100+ Tutorials on How to Make Money Online in 2026. I've sold millions in digital products. I've grown to 241K+ followers on Instagram. I've built SaaS products like PRISM and Uprise. I've automated half my workflow with AI. And now I'm combining everything I've learned into one series.

This series is the distilled playbook from everything I've built and everything I’m building right now (starting from scratch and scaling).

If I were starting completely over in 2026, this is exactly what I'd do. Every step. Every tool. Every decision. Written down. In order.

And I'm not just writing about it. I'm building a brand new business from $0, in public, to prove it all works.

No audience leverage. No name recognition. No shortcuts. Just the playbook, applied fresh, in real time, right here.

This is the "start here" article. It tells you who this series is for, what's in it, and how to use it.

Why I'm doing this

Every time I tell someone how I built my businesses, they say the same thing.

"Yeah, but you already had an audience. I don't."

Or: "Sure, but you've been doing this for years. I'm starting from zero."

Or: "That works for YOU. It wouldn't work for me."

I get it. I used to think the same thing about the people I learned from.

So I'm going to fix that.

I'm taking everything I know from selling millions in digital products, growing audiences from zero, building software, and automating with AI. I'm turning it into the playbook I wish existed when I started.

Then I'm proving it works by building a brand new business from scratch. In public. With receipts.

If the playbook works starting cold in 2026, with AI and automation doing the heavy lifting, it works for you too.

That's the deal.

Who this series is for

This series is for two kinds of people.

You're starting.

You've never made a dollar online. Or you've made some but you're stuck below $1,000 a month. You've read the threads. Watched the videos. Maybe tried Etsy or freelancing or a side hustle. But every time you sit down to build something real, you feel overwhelmed and close the tab.

This series will walk you from $0 to your first dollar, then to $1,000 a month, then to real income. No jargon. Plain English. Step by step.

You're scaling.

You already have an online business. You're making real money. But you're maxed out. You're working too many hours. You can't grow because you ARE the bottleneck.

This series will show you how to use AI, systems, and automation to get yourself out of the way. So you can grow without burning out.

Whether you're at $0 or $10K a month, there's a phase in this series that starts where you are.

Who this series is NOT for

I'm not going to be polite about this.

Not for get-rich-quick people. Building a real business takes real time. If you want a magic button, this isn't it. Go buy someone else's "$10K in 30 days" course.

Not for MLM or pyramid schemes. I'm not going to pretend recruiting your friends is a business.

Not for "passive income" believers. There is no such thing. There's leveraged income. There's automated income. There's no income that requires zero work. Stop falling for that.

Not for people who want to copy someone else's life. I'm not selling you a path to be me. I'm showing you a path to be the version of you that has a real business.

If any of that stings, this series isn't for you. No hard feelings.

What's in this series

There are 100+ articles planned. They're organized into nine phases. Every reader enters where they are.

Phase 0. Mindset + Reality Check. Do you actually want this life? Honest gut checks before you start.

Phase 1. Pick Your Thing. What are you going to sell? Stop overthinking it.

Phase 2. Set Up the Basics. The 6 tools you need (and the 40 you don't). Tax stuff. Legal stuff. The boring stuff that saves you later.

Phase 3. Get Your First Dollar. How to land your first customer in 7 days. No cold-email cringe.

Phase 4. Get to $1,000 a Month. Audience, content, pricing. Consistency without burnout.

Phase 5. Get to $10,000 a Month. Productize. Package. Sell while you sleep.

Phase 6. Scale Past the Wall. Where every solopreneur gets stuck. The three ways out.

Phase 7. Build the Engine. Systems, automation, and the AI-powered business that runs without you.

Phase 8. Diversify + Protect. Multiple income streams. Savings. The boring wins that matter most.

Plus a running thread of AI deep-dives woven through every phase. Because AI, systems, and automation are the only reason any of this works for one person in 2026.

The AI, systems, and automation thread

Here's what makes this series different from every other "make money online" newsletter.

I'm not telling you to work harder. I'm telling you to do less.

Every article will show you the specific way to use AI, systems, or automation to replace the part of the work you hate. Or the part that's slow. Or the part that needs a team you can't afford.

Some examples of what's coming.

The 5-tool AI stack I use to run my one-person business.

How to use AI to find a profitable business idea in 30 minutes.

The "AI employee" setup. Train it once, reuse forever.

How to automate customer support without sounding like a bot.

The AI-powered content workflow that turns 1 post into 14.

If you've ever wanted to start a business but said "I don't have the time" or "I don't have the team," this is the workaround.

AI is the team. Systems are the structure. Automation is the leverage.

You stay in your zone of genius. The robots do the busywork.

That's the whole point.

How to use this series

Don't try to read it in order.

Find your phase, start there, and work forward. If you're already at Phase 4 and reading Phase 0, you'll get bored. If you're at Phase 0 and reading Phase 6, you'll get overwhelmed.

Here's the quick map.

Total beginner, no business yet? Start with Phase 0 and 1.

You have a side hustle but it's stuck? Start with Phase 3 or 4.

You're full-time but capped at your own time? Start with Phase 6.

You want AI to do more of the work? Read the AI deep-dives in any order.

Every article will tell you which phase it's in, what level it's written for, and which articles to read next.

The promise

Here's what I'm promising you.

Plain English. No jargon. If a 10-year-old can't understand it, I rewrote it.

Step by step. Not theory. Not motivation. Actual instructions you can follow today.

No BS. When something doesn't work, I'll tell you.

AI, systems, and automation, everywhere. Because the only way one person can do all this in 2026 is leverage.

Last week, my own AI system posted 8 times a day to my Substack Notes. Every two hours, from 7 AM to 9 PM. Three years ago, that was a full-time job. Now the AI does all of it. I didn't touch a single post. I spent the afternoon at the park with my kids.

That's the whole game. Build the systems. Let AI do the busywork. Stay in your zone of genius.

Paid subscribers get the full playbooks. The exact tools. The exact prompts. The dollar-by-dollar receipts from the new business I'm building in public. The templates. The deep dives on what's actually working versus what isn't.

If you want the receipts and the full playbook, including the public build happening right now, upgrade.

That's the only difference.

Coming next in One Person Empire

This week and next, I'm publishing the first playbooks paid subscribers will get in full.

The 5 lies about quitting your day job, and the one truth nobody tells you.

Every online business is one of these 4 things. Pick one.

The only 6 tools you need to start a one-person business.

My AI stack, the tools that replaced subscriptions and most of a team.

I am also making the next pieces more exact.

Coming up, I am breaking down the exact roadmaps and playbooks behind:

The $100K in 27 days playbook, from zero experience to a paid offer.

The $60K in 40 days AI build, with the prompts, tools, and offer moves.

The $30K first product path, from idea to first buyers.

The weekly decision map I use when I do not know what to build, sell, or post next.

Paid subs get the steps, prompts, numbers, mistakes, screenshots, and templates. Free subs get the headline. The full playbooks come next.

If you want the receipts and the full playbook, including the public $0-to-real-business build as it unfolds, upgrade now.

One last thing

I'm not doing this because I need another business.

I'm doing it because I'm tired of watching people get sold a fantasy by gurus who forgot what it feels like to start.

I've built the businesses. I've made the money. I've learned what works and what doesn't. Now I'm putting all of it into one place, in order, so you don't have to figure it out alone.

If you've ever read a "make money online" article and thought "yeah, but how?", this is the answer.

The full how. Step by step. In 2026. With AI and automations (made simple) so you can focus on your zone of genius and let your systems do the rest on autopilot.

Welcome to One-Person Empire.

Liz

If you want to watch someone rebuild a real business from scratch, and learn every move along the way, you’re in the right spot. In blog posts. In LinkedIn essays that feel weirdly polished but say absolutely nothing.

You just didn't know what to call them.

AI writing has specific fingerprints. 18 of them. And once you see them, you can't unsee them.

I'm going to break down every single one. With real examples. So you can spot them instantly, whether you're reading someone else's content or checking your own.

Because here's the thing that should bother you: a lot of people have started writing like this themselves. Without even realizing it. We're absorbing AI language patterns just by consuming AI-generated content every day.

Let's fix that.

Sentence Structure Patterns

1. Negative Parallelism

The "It's not X, it's Y" pattern. Before LLMs, people simply did not write like this at scale. It includes the causal variant "not because X, but because Y" where every explanation is framed as a surprise reveal.

Examples:

"This isn't just technical, it's a mindset change."

"The question isn't whether to optimize. The question is when to stop."

"Half the bugs you chase aren't in your code. They're in your head."

2. Not X. Not Y. Just Z.

The dramatic countdown pattern. AI builds tension by negating two or more things before revealing the actual point. Creates a false sense of narrowing down to the truth.

Examples:

"Not ambition. Not ego. Just a person who never learned to say enough."

"Not broken. Not behind. Just building something no one has a name for yet."

3. False Ranges

Using "from X to Y" constructions where X and Y aren't on any real scale. AI uses it as a fancy way to list two loosely related things. "From innovation to cultural transformation" ... what's in between? Nothing.

Examples:

"From innovation to implementation to cultural transformation."

"From fundamental physics to medicine and neuroscience."

4. The X? A Y.

Self-posed rhetorical questions answered immediately. The model asks a question nobody was asking, then answers it for dramatic effect.

Examples:

"The result? Devastating."

"The worst part? Nobody saw it coming."

"The impact? Immediate."

5. It's Worth Noting

Filler transitions that signal nothing. AI uses these to introduce new points without connecting them to the previous argument. Also includes: "It bears mentioning", "Importantly", "Interestingly", "Notably".

6. Tricolon Abuse

Overuse of the rule-of-three pattern. A single tricolon is elegant. Three back-to-back tricolons are a pattern recognition failure.

Example: "Products impress people; platforms empower them. Products solve problems; platforms create worlds."

7. Anaphora Abuse

Repeating the same sentence opening multiple times in quick succession.

Example: "They assume that users will pay... They assume that developers will build... They assume that ecosystems will emerge..."

8. Superficial Analyses

Tacking a present participle ("-ing") phrase onto the end of a sentence to inject shallow analysis. Things like "highlighting its importance" or "reflecting broader trends" or "contributing to the region's rich cultural heritage."

Tone Patterns

9. Grandiose Stakes Inflation

Everything is the most important thing ever. A blog post about API pricing becomes a meditation on the fate of civilization.

Examples:

"This will fundamentally reshape how we think about everything."

"You are not running a race. You are setting the pace for everyone behind you."

10. Invented Concept Labels

AI appends abstract problem-nouns (paradox, trap, creep, divide) to domain words and uses them as if they're real, established terms. "The supervision paradox." "The acceleration trap." "Workload creep." Name a thing, skip the argument.

11. Here's the Kicker

False suspense transitions that promise a revelation but deliver a point that didn't need the buildup.

12. Think of It As...

The patronizing analogy. AI defaults to teacher mode and assumes you need a metaphor to understand anything. Often the analogy is less clear than the original concept.

13. The Truth Is Simple

Asserting that something is obvious instead of actually proving it. If you have to tell the reader your point is clear, it very likely isn't.

14. Vague Attributions

Attributing claims to unnamed authorities. "Experts argue..." "Industry reports suggest..." If you can't name the expert, you don't have a source.

Word Choice, Paragraph Structure, and Formatting

15. Tapestry and Landscape

Overuse of ornate nouns where simpler words would do. "The rich tapestry of human experience..." "Navigating the complex landscape of modern AI..." Other offenders: paradigm, synergy, ecosystem, framework.

16. Short Punchy Fragments

Excessive use of very short sentences as standalone paragraphs. "He published this. Openly. In a book. As a priest." RLHF training pushed models toward one thought per sentence. No real person writes first drafts this way.

17. Listicle in a Trench Coat

Numbered points dressed up as prose. "The first step is research. The second is drafting. The third is review." It's a listicle pretending to be an essay.

18. Unicode Decoration

Unicode arrows, smart quotes, and special characters you can't easily type. Real writers produce straight quotes and --> or =>. Claude especially loves the arrow character.

The Fix: One Prompt That Handles All of This

I wrote a single prompt you can paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI before you write anything. It tells the AI to avoid every single one of these 18 patterns. I use it myself every day.

Here it is. Copy the whole thing:

Write in a natural, human voice. Avoid these patterns: no 'It's not X, it's Y' constructions, no em-dashes, no 'Not X. Not Y. Just Z' countdowns, no fake 'from X to Y' ranges, no inflating stakes to world-historical significance, no self-posed rhetorical questions answered immediately, no filler transitions like 'It's worth noting' or 'Importantly', no invented compound labels like 'the supervision paradox', no ornate words like 'tapestry' or 'landscape' where simple words work, no tricolon or anaphora abuse, no excessive short punchy fragments as standalone paragraphs, no 'Here's the kicker' false suspense, no patronizing 'Think of it as' analogies, no asserting something is simple instead of proving it, no listicles disguised as prose, no superficial -ing analysis tacked onto sentences, no vague 'Experts say' attributions, no unicode arrows or smart quotes. Write like a real person thinking out loud. Vary your sentence length naturally. Let some thoughts be messy. Not everything needs a punchline.

That's it. Paste it at the top of any conversation where you're asking AI to write for you.

It won't make AI writing perfect. But it removes the most obvious tells. The stuff that makes people scroll past your content because their brain pattern-matches it as "AI slop" in half a second.

Your audience deserves better. And so does your voice.

Original research sourced from tropes.fyi and Wikipedia's Signs of AI Writing page. It's a new program that gives established creators guaranteed monthly payments and a massive reach boost for posting Reels on Facebook.

This is not a small experiment. Facebook paid creators nearly $3 billion in 2025. That's a 35% jump from the year before. And now they want more creators posting there.

Here's everything you need to know.

How Creator Fast Track Works

The program targets creators who already have audiences on other platforms. If you have followers on TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram, Facebook wants to pay you to bring your content over.

You get two things when you're accepted:

Guaranteed monthly payments for three months

A permanent reach boost on your Facebook Reels

That reach boost doesn't expire. It stays with you even after the three-month pay period ends.

You also get immediate access to Facebook's Content Monetization program. That means you keep earning from your content long after the bonus payments stop.

The Pay Tiers

There are two levels:

100,000+ followers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube: $1,000/month

1 million+ followers on any of those platforms: $3,000/month

That's $3,000 to $9,000 in guaranteed money over three months. On top of whatever you earn from the Content Monetization program.

Meta's VP of Product for Creators said the goal is that within a few months, your regular Facebook earnings will be bigger than the bonus itself.

One political news creator made $250,000 from Facebook in a single month. That's the kind of earning potential they're pointing to.

What You Have to Do

The requirements are simple:

Post a minimum number of Reels each month

No engagement targets

No exclusive content required

Text, photos, Stories, and video all count toward earnings

You don't have to stop posting on other platforms. You don't have to hit specific view counts. You post Reels on Facebook, and you get paid.

New Metrics to Track Your Money

Meta also rolled out three new analytics tools inside the Creator Monetization dashboard:

Qualified Views -- shows which views are earning you money

Earnings Rate -- your approximate pay per 1,000 qualified views

Non-Qualified Views -- tells you exactly why certain views didn't count

This matters because most creators have no idea which content is making money and which isn't. These metrics close that gap.

How to Apply

Open the Facebook mobile app

Go to your Professional Dashboard

Tap the Monetization tab

Select Content Monetization

Fill out the interest form

That's it. No pitch deck. No application video. A form.

The Bigger Picture

Facebook tried paying creators before. They ran massive bonus programs in 2021-2022 and shut them down in 2023 because the model wasn't sustainable.

This time is different. Creator Fast Track is built on top of the Content Monetization program that launched in fall 2024. The three-month bonus is designed to cover the hassle of starting on a new platform. After that, your regular earnings take over.

The numbers back this up. Creators earning over $10,000 per year on Facebook grew 30% last year. Sixty percent of all creator payments went to Reels.

Facebook is not doing this out of generosity. They need content to compete with TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Paying creators to show up is the fastest way to get it.

What You Should Do Right Now

Check your follower count on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. If you're over 100K, you qualify.

Apply through the Facebook app using the Professional Dashboard.

Start posting Reels on Facebook now, even before you're accepted. The reach boost means early content gets amplified.

Watch the new metrics to see which content earns and which doesn't.

Don't abandon your other platforms. This is additive income, not a replacement.

Facebook is spending billions to build a creator economy. Creator Fast Track is how they're getting the talent in the door. If you have the following, there's no reason not to apply. It's free money for content you're already making.

Want the full breakdown of every platform that's paying creators right now? Paid subscribers ($8) get weekly deep dives on monetization strategies, algorithm changes, and the exact steps to turn your content into income.

FREE Resources:

How to Get AI to RECOMMEND YOU | The EXACT Strategy for Going VIRAL

$0 to $30K in 30 Days with CLAUDE (Zero Coding Experience)

You do not need to know how to code to build a $30K business. Today it is just Tuesday.

I built a SaaS product from scratch using Claude. No coding bootcamp. No computer science degree. No technical co-founder. Just me, a laptop, and an AI that writes code better than most junior developers.

The result: $30,000 in arr in 30 days… and it is going up rapidly.

And now I am doing it again. In public. From scratch.

The Old Way Is Dead

Building software used to cost $50,000 minimum. You needed designers, developers, project managers, and six months of runway.

That entire model is gone.

Today, one person with Claude can build what used to take a team of ten. Not a toy project. Not a demo. A real product that real people pay real money for.

The barrier to entry was always technical skill. That barrier no longer exists.

What "Vibe Coding" Actually Means

Vibe coding is building software by describing what you want in plain English. You talk to Claude like you would talk to a developer. It writes the code. You test it. You refine it.

No syntax to memorize. No frameworks to learn. No Stack Overflow rabbit holes.

You focus on the product. The strategy. The customer. Claude handles the rest.

This is not a shortcut. It is a completely new way to build.

How I Did It: The 30-Day Breakdown

Week 1: Idea to MVP

I described what I wanted. Claude built the first working version in three days. Authentication, payments, database, user dashboard. All of it.

The key: be specific about what you want. Vague instructions get vague results. Clear instructions get production-ready code.

Week 2: Iterate and Ship

I tested everything myself. Found bugs. Told Claude to fix them. Added features. Kept testing. Kept debugging and building as I just… used my product myself.

Every change took minutes, not days.

Week 3: Launch and Sell

I launched to my audience. The product worked. People paid. I collected feedback and kept improving.

Week 4: Scale

Stripe processed the payments. Supabase handled the backend. Claude built every new feature I needed on demand.

$30,000. One person. One AI.

You Do Not Need Permission

Here is what stops most people: they think they need to learn to code first.

You do not.

You do not need a CS degree. You do not need to understand JavaScript. You do not need three years of "learning the fundamentals."

You need a problem worth solving, a customer willing to pay, and Claude.

That is the entire stack.

What Most People Get Wrong

They spend months "learning to code" before building anything

They overthink the tech stack instead of shipping

They wait for the product to be perfect before launching

They build what they think is cool instead of what people will pay for

Stop studying. Start building. Fix problems as they appear. Claude is your entire engineering team.

I Am Doing It Again. In Public.

I am building the next product from absolute zero. Every step documented. Every mistake shared. Every win celebrated.

This is not a course. It is a live build.

You will see the prompts I use. The mistakes I make. The revenue as it comes in. The entire process from idea to paying customers.

No gatekeeping. No fluff. Just the raw, real process of building a business with AI.

Follow the entire build at profounder.ceo

Your 5-Step Action Plan

Pick one problem you hear people complain about

Describe the solution to Claude in plain English

Build the first version in a weekend

Show it to 10 people and ask if they would pay

Launch it and improve based on real feedback

That is it. No certification needed. No bootcamp required.

The people who win in this era are the ones who start building while everyone else is still asking for permission.

The Window Is Open

Right now, most people still believe you need to code to build software.

That belief is your advantage.

While they spend two years in a bootcamp, you can have a product live and making money by next month. While they debate which programming language to learn, you can have paying customers.

This window will not stay open forever. More people figure this out every day.

The best time to start was yesterday. The second best time is right now.

Follow the full build-in-public journey at profounder.ceo

If you are building with AI and want to learn alongside 102,000+ others, this is where it happens. Paid subscribers ($8) get access to the full playbook, weekly tutorials, and the community building the future.

The People Selling AI Will Lose to the Ones Using It

Why every major tech shift rewards system builders, not tool sellers, and how AI is following the same pattern as Bitcoin and the internet.

Liz Elliott 🕸️

TL;DR

AI is not a business model. That system mattered more than the price of Bitcoin.

The price went up and down.

The infrastructure stayed.

People who understood this early did not just buy coins. They built exchanges, wallets, and payment systems. They built on top of the infrastructure.

The Internet and Amazon

The same thing happened with the internet.

The internet was not the business.

The internet was the infrastructure.

Amazon did not win because it was “on the internet.” Everyone was.

Amazon won because it used the internet to sell books faster, cheaper, and better than anyone else. Then it used that same infrastructure to sell everything.

Same product.

Better system.

AI Is the Same Kind of Shift

AI is not the product.

AI is the infrastructure.

Right now, many people are trying to sell AI itself.

AI consulting

AI agencies

AI services

That can work, but it is still selling time. The tool is new, but the business model is old.

What Infrastructure Looks Like in Real Life

Infrastructure works quietly.

Think about a graphic designer.

Before, a design project took days.

Now, it takes hours.

Did the designer start selling AI design?

No.

AI is just part of the tools. The client gets the same result. The work just gets done faster.

That is infrastructure.

The service stayed the same.

The system got better.

Why This Matters

Tools change fast. Everyone gets access to them.

Infrastructure creates leverage.

If you sell AI tools, someone cheaper will copy you.

If you build systems that use AI, you are harder to replace.

The Right Question to Ask

Stop asking:

How do I sell AI?

Start asking:

Where can AI remove work?

How can I deliver results faster?

What system can I improve?

That is how real businesses are built.

The Bottom Line

Bitcoin was not the win. Then, tell them there's a hint hidden in your profile, a pinned post, a recent reel or carousel, or a Story highlight.

When people leave the quiz to go hunting for the clue, it drives up your profile clicks—one of the strongest signals for reach and relevance on Instagram.

Try this:

“What’s my favorite color?”
A) green B) blue C) yellow D) orange
Hint: It’s hidden in my bio somewhere 👀

Or:

“Where did I launch my first product?”
A) Etsy B) Gumroad C) Kajabi D) Shopify
Hint: Clue’s in the ‘First Sale’ highlight

Niche tweaks:

Fitness Coach: “How many steps do I aim for daily?” (Hint: it’s in yesterday’s post caption)

Parenting Creator: “Which of my kids is the night owl?” (Hint: check the ‘Family’ Story highlight)

Beauty Influencer: “Which serum do I swear by?” (Hint: peek at my skincare shelfie reel)

Use this when: you want a low-effort way to boost profile activity and train the algorithm to favor your content. Bonus: it builds parasocial trust, fast.

2. Tap Into the “I Know This and Most People Don’t” Effect

People love proving they’re smart. Especially on niche topics. So, hand them a quiz that lets them flex.

Make the question just hard enough to feel elite—but not so hard it’s discouraging.

Try this:

“Which of these marketing tactics converts best in 2024?”
A) Carousel posts B) Cold DMs C) Quiz funnels D) Lead magnets
(Answer: C—but watch the DMs roll in)

Niche tweaks:

Beauty Niche: “Which ingredient boosts collagen the most?”

Finance: “What’s the average credit score in the U.S.?”

DIY/Home: “Which color trend is OUT in 2025?”

Use this when: you want shareable content that sparks debate and gets saves.

3. Build Authority With a Quiz That Shows What You Know

Let the question itself teach people something. Show that you are the go-to in your space—not by saying it, but by designing questions that reveal depth.

Try this:

“Which one of these actually increases email open rates?”
A) Emojis B) Short subject lines C) Personalization D) All of the above
(Answer: D. Subtle flex.)

Niche tweaks:

Health Coach: “Which of these is NOT a complete protein?”

Travel Influencer: “Which country requires a visa from the U.S.?”

Career Coach: “Which resume myth is totally outdated?”

Use this when: you want to quietly build trust and impress the right people.

4. Bust a Common Myth (and Watch Engagement Pop)

There is no dopamine hit quite like realizing you were wrong—and being shocked by it. Use your quiz to bust a myth, and people will remember you because you taught them something surprising.

Try this:

“Which of these is the most common passive income stream?”
A) Dropshipping B) Affiliate marketing C) YouTube ads D) Course sales
(Answer: Affiliate marketing. A search engine—Google (as well as many other search engines)—is now indexing Instagram. That means it can read and rank your public content the way it ranks blogs, websites, or YouTube videos.

And if you're a creator or small business owner? This isn’t just a tech update. It’s a visibility game-changer.

Let’s Back Up: What Does It Mean for Content to Be “Indexed”?

Think of Google like a giant library.

Before, Instagram posts were like cool little notes passed around in class. Fun, valuable, sometimes genius—but invisible to the librarian (Google). No record, no catalog entry. Totally off the radar.

Now? Instagram is handing over those notes to the librarian. Google can scan them, store them, and offer them up when people search for related topics.

That’s called indexing.

If your post is indexed:

It can appear in Google search results.

People searching for related terms outside of Instagram can discover you.

Your content has a chance at long-term visibility—not just 48 hours on the feed.

Why This Matters More Than It Seems

1. You Can Be Found by People Who Don’t Follow You

Most people think of Instagram as a closed loop: you post, followers see it, maybe some randoms from Explore or hashtags.

But now, your content can reach people on a totally different platform—people who are searching on Google with purchase intent.

Example:
Let’s say you’re a wedding photographer in Atlanta. If someone searches “Atlanta wedding photographer affordable” on Google, and your Instagram profile or carousel is well-optimized, it could actually show up.

That is reach without relying on the algorithm. That is traffic with built-in trust.

2. Instagram Posts Can Work for You Long-Term

Normally, an Instagram post lives a short life—maybe 24–48 hours of engagement, then silence.

But indexed content changes that. A single, well-crafted Reel or post could drive discovery for months, because it can live in Google search results as long as it stays relevant and public.

It’s like turning your short-form content into a mini evergreen blog post—with less effort.

3. You Don’t Need a Website to Rank Anymore

Let’s say you don’t have a website yet (or don’t want one). You can still show up in search.

Your Instagram grid becomes your homepage.
Your captions are now your product descriptions.
Your Reels are your how-to library.

This lowers the barrier to visibility for new brands, micro-creators, and solo business owners. And that’s a big deal.

How to Optimize Instagram Content So Google Can Find It

You don’t need to be an SEO expert to take advantage of this shift. But you do need to be strategic. That means making your Instagram content easier for both Instagram and Google to understand.

Here’s how to do that step-by-step:

Make Sure Your Profile Is Public (and a Business/Creator Account)

Google can’t index private accounts.

Go to Settings → Privacy → Make sure your account is public.

Also, switch to a Business or Creator account. This gives you access to more tools (like analytics) and makes your profile more index-friendly.\

Write Captions That Are Clear, Specific, and Searchable

Google uses your caption to understand what the post is about.

Here’s what not to do: “Our latest drop 😍🔥”

Here’s what to do: “New limited-edition ceramic mugs—handmade in Portland, Oregon. Small batch, dishwasher safe, gift-ready.”

That second caption is keyword-rich. It tells Google:

What the product is (ceramic mugs)

Where it’s from (Portland)

Why it matters (limited-edition, gift-worthy)

You’re not just writing for your audience—you’re writing for the algorithm to categorize you correctly.

Add ALT Text to Your Posts and Reels

ALT text was originally made for screen readers (accessibility), but it now plays a role in SEO.

You can manually write it when uploading a post (Advanced Settings > Write ALT Text).

ALT text should describe exactly what’s in the image/video, like:

“A woman using a yoga mat in her living room with a golden retriever nearby.”

This gives search engines another clue about your content. It also helps Instagram understand your visuals better—especially with the rise of visual search.

Use Geo-Tags (Even if You’re Not a Local Business)

If you sell physical products or provide services, tag your location.

Why?

It helps Google and Instagram associate your content with a specific city or region.

It boosts your chance of showing up in local search results (which are often less competitive).

Someone searching “gluten-free bakery in Austin” could find your IG post if you’ve tagged your business location and used the right keywords.

Choose Better Hashtags (Fewer, More Specific)

Hashtags are still useful for categorization—but they work best when they’re niche and relevant.

Use 5–10 highly specific ones:

✅ #EthicalSkincareBrand

✅ #SustainableJewelryCanada

✅ #ChicagoEventPhotographer

Avoid things like:

❌ #love

❌ #viral

❌ #explorepage

Think of hashtags like search terms. Would someone type this into Google?

Link to Your Instagram Posts From Other Places

Here’s a trick most people miss:

Google looks at links to help decide what’s important. So if you embed or link to your Instagram posts in:

A blog

An email newsletter

A LinkedIn article

A Pinterest board

…that IG post has a better shot at ranking.

Even better? Add UTM tracking codes to see if Google traffic is landing on your content.

Use Google Search Console to Monitor Indexed Posts

This step is optional, but if you’re serious about growth: set up Google Search Console. It’s free and shows:

Which of your IG posts are indexed

What keywords people use to find you

How many clicks you’re getting from search

You don’t need to check it daily, but it’s a great tool to see what’s working.

🧠 Why This Trend Is Bigger Than Just Instagram

This isn’t a one-time change—it’s part of a bigger shift in how people find content online.

TikTok is being indexed.

Reddit is showing up in AI-generated search results.

Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram—they’re all being treated more like searchable knowledge hubs.

Which means: if you’re a creator or business owner who knows how to format content for both humans and search engines, you will win—across platforms.

🚀 TL;DR – Instagram SEO Quick-Start Guide

Switch to a public Business/Creator account

Write specific, keyword-friendly captions

Add manual ALT text

Tag your location (even if you’re online)

Use 5–10 niche, relevant hashtags

Link to IG posts from blogs, emails, etc.

Track performance with Google Search Console (optional)

🧩 Final Thought

Instagram has always been powerful for visibility. But now? It’s not just a social platform—it’s a search engine asset.

This means you don’t have to post more often to grow.
You just need to post smarter.

The next customer who finds you might not come from a hashtag, a viral Reel, or an ad.

They might come from page one of Google.

And all they needed was one helpful, well-written post from you.

Let’s grow strategically. Your future traffic depends on it.

Want a downloadable Instagram SEO checklist to keep this simple? Grab it HERE!

The Secret Instagram Growth Hack Nobody in Your Niche Is Using (Yet)

The strategy smart creators use to get more reach, saves, and shares

Liz Elliott 🕸️

Everyone says:

“Find what’s working in your niche—and remake it yourself.”

But if your target audience’s feed is full of people doing the exact same thing... how are you supposed to stand out?

Here’s the truth:
The fastest way to grow isn’t by following trends in your own niche.
It’s by finding what’s viral outside of your niche—and being one of the first to apply it to your content. There are 3 tricks you need to know for this.

Let me explain.

📱 Why This Works

Social media platforms (like IG and TikTok) are built to push content that feels fresh, not repetitive.
But most creators stay in their little bubble, watching what everyone else in their industry is doing.
So they all end up sounding the same.

When you bring a trend over from another corner of the internet, your content feels different—and the algorithm notices.

You get:

More reach

More engagement

More followers who actually care about what you do

It’s not about copying.
It’s about being early and creative—before the crowd catches up.

🔍 How to Find These “Out-of-Niche” Trends

Here are 3 simple ways to find viral content outside your industry—and make it your own:

1. Use TikTok as a research tool (not your main creator/business account)

Set up a personal TikTok account where you DON’T follow people in your niche. Treat it like a research account.
Instead, follow creators in totally different spaces:
→ Parenting
→ Beauty
→ Comedy
→ BookTok
→ Anything that has nothing to do with what you sell

Scroll with purpose. Look for videos that are going viral, and ask:

How could I use this format, audio, or hook to talk about my own business?

💡Example: A trending “day in the life” video from a makeup artist could be turned into a behind-the-scenes for your coaching biz.

2. Track trending audios + look at how they’re used

On both IG and TikTok, the algorithm LOVES trending sounds.
But don’t just save them—study which are rising rapidly and then look at the videos of those rapidly rising audios to see if there is an accompanying trend.

Ask:

Is there a certain visual style people are using?

Is there a caption format that’s repeating?

Is it funny? Inspiring? Relatable?

Then make it your own.
Same sound, different angle. Just make sure it’s aligned with your brand or message.

💡Pro tip: If you see the same audio 3+ times in one scroll session, it’s worth jumping on fast.

3. Use the IG Explore Page like a trend-spotter

When you’re on Instagram (again - make a dedicated research account because you can train that algorithm to show you viral trends in other niches), don’t just scroll for fun—scroll for ideas.

Look at:

Reels with lots of saves/shares

Captions that make you stop

Formats you haven’t seen in your feed yet

If you find something that feels new to your niche, save it.
Then ask:

How can I recreate this for what I offer?

💡Example: A funny meme about coffee cravings might inspire a playful post about burnout in your niche.

💥 The Bottom Line

Most people wait until a trend hits their niche. This can help, but being on of the first is even better!

If you want to grow faster, get more views, and build a brand that actually stands out, here’s the move:

✅ Find what’s going viral outside your bubble
✅ Adapt it to your message
✅ Show up first, before the crowd catches on

That’s how you lead instead of chase.

If you don’t want to spend hours researching trends and figuring out how to make them work for your brand, I’ve got you. Then, create a new lead magnet or add that juicy tip to an existing lead magnet. VOILA!

Change it up. Gone are the days of needing a pretty, branded, polished lead magnet. People want the info. I create new lead magnets several times a week. You can use Manychat to collect email addresses in DMs and then just DM them the info - you can set all this up (including the lead magnet DM) in less than 5 minutes. Some other things you can do is create a little google doc, record a short video and post it on Youtube and send people that link in exchange for their email, or make a quick little writeup on Substack (like this one) and send the link as the lead magnet.

Want more?

Get my FREE Instagram growth strategy pdf! Learn the foolproof strategy that my students use to skyrocket their Instagram growth, even from dead accounts!

P.S. - There are a lot of ways I can help you grow your online business and make more money (while working less!) - Here are a few ways:

Get my FREE Instagram growth strategy pdf! She is going to absolutely LOVE IT.

But guess what? It’s never going to get to your friend if you don’t know how to send it to her.

You need to know how to wrap / package the present, address it, stamp it and drop it off at the post office. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter how perfect your gift is if the post office doesn’t know how to get it to her.

In the social media context, the algorithms are the post office.

So, you need to create your content so that it is perfect for your ideal audience, but also know how to “package” it in a way that the algorithm can quickly and easily know exactly what to do with your content.

I call this the POSTAL method. And it is pure gold.

P - Prepare high-value content for your ideal audience and the algorithm.

The algorithm is pushing content that gets watch time, shares, and comments. The type of content that is doing the best in the algorithm right now: relatable content, memes, humor, and quick step-by-step tutorials.

So, the key is to think of valuable content for your audience and then format it in a style that the algorithm loves (see bullet point above).

O - Optimize for the algorithm.

S - Strong AF Hooks. Hooks need to be stronger than ever right now, and they need to keep your viewer engaged throughout the entirety of your content.

T - Two or three things happening at all times that would keep the attention of even the most ADHD squirrel. People’s attention span is sooooooo low these days, especially when scrolling social media. To keep people engaged, you need to have at least 2-3 “activities” happening at all times in your reel. The goal is to prevent the viewer’s brain from even having a second to think “hmm am I bored here? should I scroll to the next thing?”

I make sure there are always 3+ of the below happening at once in my reels:

on screen text popping up. I always add additional on-screen text that further explains / adds additional commentary to the video.

closed captions. Always, always used closed captions if you are talking.

interesting video - this can be either or both the main event in a video or a “side/background” event (like talking while making a coffee or doing makeup)

Audio intrigue - like waiting for a beat to drop

Waiting for the “answer” or “mystery to be solved” from a strong hook

A - Add in several, strategic calls to action. I almost always include a CTA (call-to-action) on screen in my reel and then several in the comments.

CTAs:

Comment a keyword to get a lead magnet.

See caption.

save this

Follow to achieve goal (ex. “follow me to grow faster and smarter on Instagram!)

L - Leave replies to every comment with keywords & questions. The algorithm is reading your comments and replies, too! Make sure that you respond to every comment on your reel. You responses should intentionally add in SEO keywords. To increase engagement even more, ask a follow-up questions in your comment reply. Hopefully, the person will reply back again. Now, you’ve turned one comment into THREE comments and strengthened your SEO for the algorithm - all of which causes the algorithm to push your content out even more and to the right people.

Creators feed the algorithm “red herrings” designed to mislead the algorithm into thinking the content is about something innocuous like “cute winter boots” when in reality, it’s code for something else.

The codes have started to catch on and then turn into a movement or an entire coded / secret online community.

“Cute winter boots” or “winter boots sale” has gotten so big that it now means a LOT of different things depending on which “corner” of the internet you find yourself in - everything from peaceful protests dates and times to resources for marginalized people.

Another recent one is “CONstant THoughts” (the “CON” and the “TH” are intentionally capitalized), which is code for talking about a conspiracy theory.

How to use this to your advantage:

First, this likely won’t work for very long - algorithms are constantly learning and evolving.

From a learning perspective, because this is working so well as a tool to “trick” the algorithm, it is HIGHLY indicative in how algorithms work at understanding and categorizing content. You can read into this to see that certain aspects of content (on-screen text, for example) is seemingly weighed so much more than spoken words or “background” text appearing in the actual footage (not added in editing or captioned).

What you should learn from this:

Where to lean into with your SEO, keywords, etc. for your content to teach the algorithm how to get your content into the feeds of your target audience.

If you have posts or content or subject matter that the algorithm doesn’t seem to like for whatever reason, you can try “hiding” it in elements of the your content that aren’t likely to be picked up by the algorithm. This is especially helpful on Instagram, where posting content that is “off the mark” from your usual content can sometimes impact your performance for the next few posts.

The key with this is that you still have to be posting content that you know your audience will like - but for whatever reason the algorithm doesn’t. You’re hiding the substance from the ALGORITHM ONLY - NOT YOUR AUDIENCE. In other words, the content still has to do well once it gets into the feeds of your audience. You’re just “overriding” any yellow or red flags the content might set off in the algorithm that would prevent it from getting into the feeds of your audience.

Up next on The Digitalist: the platforms I’m focusing on in 2025 to build & scale a rock-solid, profitable online business.

Subscribe to The Digitalist to learn from me for FREE!
